The Burrows House and Log Cabin museums have shops that specialize in books about the history and nature of the area and unique gifts reproduced from, or reminiscent of, earlier times such as old-fashioned games, coloring books, note cards, holiday cards, textiles and jewelry.
Historic photographs are available for purchase with a collection of thousands to choose from. Our research librarian can help you find just the right one that helps tell your family history or adds to your period décor. Our photographs are printed on archive-quality paper.
Or, how about a special program for your civic or other group? For a small charge, your group can see a video or hear a presentation on a number of topics from logging to shipwrecks. Special school programs also are available. There is no charge for programs to public school groups.
Our museums and most programs are free, but your donations and museum store purchases help support the mission of the Society, which is to preserve, collect, and interpret the history of Lincoln County. To achieve this mission, the Society collects and cares for artifacts, operates the museums, sponsors speakers and other programs, and maintains a research library.
Our incentive to Buy Local members is:
5 percent discount on purchases in the museum stores of the Burrows House and Log Cabin.
