Lincoln County’s web site is a comprehensive information resource featuring County departments, services, contact information, news and events related to Lincoln County Government.

The public is also encouraged to attend Board of Commissioner meetings held weekly in the Lincoln County Courthouse. (Please see the agenda on our web site for times and dates. But, generally meetings are held at 9:30am every Wednesday in room 108). Board of Commissioner meetings allow the public to the see the mechanics of County Government at work. The Board sets policies for the County through its legislative role and oversees the County’s day-to-day operations through its executive role. Each meeting allows time for constituent input in which the public may speak to the Board of Commissioners.

The Board of Commissioners has supported a number of efforts to improve the county’s economic viability through the years, including improvements to our road system, the establishment of a fiber optic network, the development of wave energy, financially supporting the Economic Development Alliance of Lincoln County and OCCC’s Small Business Development Center, and a business loan fund through the Cascades West COG, Recently, the county provided funds to develop the Port of Newport’s successful application to bring the west coast fleet of NOAA research vessels to Newport.

Lincoln County also appreciates its relationships with local radio stations, newspapers and other independent media who regularly feature vital public information and services on behalf of Lincoln County.
