Thank you for your support!

As of July 31, 2009, the Buy Local Lincoln County Association has received $20,000 in various grants. We would like to thank everyone who has granted funds to the BLLCA.

Rural Development Initiatives/Meyer Memorial Trust:
Rural Development Initiatives awarded $3,000 to the Buy Local Lincoln County Association (BLLCA) through funds awarded to the Connecting Oregon through Rural Entrepreneurship - Phase II (CORE-II) Collaboration. These funds are part of a larger grant from the Meyer Memorial Trust that was awarded to the CORE-II Collaboration. These funds were used to help found the BLLCA. We would like to thank Rural Development Initiatives and the Meyer Memorial Trust for their support and their generous contribution.

Lincoln County Community and Economic Development Fund:
The Lincoln County Community and Economic Development Fund awarded $5,000 in the way of a non-profit business startup grant to the BLLCA. These funds are part of the County’s allotment of video poker earnings. These funds were used to establish our web presence and help offset the costs of starting a non-profit organization. We would like to thank Lincoln County and the Lincoln County Community and Economic Development Fund for their support and their generous contribution.

United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development:
The United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development awarded $9,000 to the BLLCA through its Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG) program. The BLLCA is very pleased to be one of the first Buy Local campaigns to be funded in part through the RBEG program, and we would like to thank the United States Department of Agriculture - Rural Development for their support and their generous contribution.

Siletz Tribal Charitable Contributions Fund:
The Siletz Tribal Charitable Contributions Fund awarded $3,000 to the BLLCA through its second quarter allotment of Charitable Contribution Grants. These funds will be used to help promote the BLLCA and the Buy Local Campaign throughout the county. We would like to thank the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon and the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contributions Fund for their support and their generous contribution.

With the funds that we have received to date, not only have we been able to start the BLLCA, but we have also have the resources to continue to grow and promote our local economic recovery program.
