The Yaquina Pacific Railroad Historical Society chartered in 1992 has established over the past 18 years an impressive collection of railroad and logging equipment at their Heritage Square next to the Post Office in Toledo, Oregon. On display are a 1922 Baldwin Steam engine, a 1907 wood-sided caboose (the oldest restored wood caboose in Northwest and YPRHS Office), restored 1923 SP Railway Post Office/baggage car #5132 which also includes the H.R. Dangler RR & Logging Research Library, many motorcars, baggage handlers etc. The Research Library will soon be linked to our website and presently has some 450 books and videos on railroading and logging history. Several levels of annual membership are available and include membership in the National Railway Historical Society. Many opportunities for volunteer involvement

The YPRHS Heritage Site Display is FREE (donations welcome) and open from 10-2 Tuesdays thru Saturday. Guided tours and activities are available for school, church, family and fraternal/civic groups by appointment.
